About Us

The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes is a humanitarian food aid organization located in Nisswa, Minnesota.

Founded in 2012 as Kids Against Hunger BLA - the primary focus from 2012-2018 was providing humanitarian food aid to 3rd world countries.

In 2019, the organization re-branded to The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes and changed their mission and vision.
Mission today: Feeding families in Minnesota and beyond.
Vision: 80-90% of the meals we package will be distributed within a 60–80-mile radius of Nisswa, Minnesota. The remaining 10-20% can be used for disaster relief and/or international needs.
We offer 10 different meals. We have 2 breakfast products: Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal and Raisin Oatmeal. We have 3 lunch/dinner pasta products: Mac/Cheese, Tomato Basil Pasta, Minestrone Soup. We have 3 lunch/dinner rice products: Spanish Rice, Cheesy Rice, Beans & Rice. We have 2 dessert products: Apple Rice and Raisin Rice Pudding

We are privately funded and welcome donations. We package our meals for ONLY $0.35/meal. You can contribute by mail: 24489 Hazelwood Drive, Nisswa MN 56468 or online www.outreachprogramBLA.org

We pack our meals with volunteers. IF you are looking to volunteer in the Nisswa area, please contact us.

We also can package remotely - coming to your location.

We distribute our meals to local area food shelves, community meal programs, school backpack programs, shelters, take-one-need-one carts, mobile meal distributions, other.
