About Us
We value the diversity of our members whose ages, knowledge, experiences, talents, and backgrounds, strengthen and empower us and our community.
Annual dues of $50 are payable on or before November 1 for the next fiscal year beginning October 1 for inclusion in the Membership Directory.
2024 officers: President Jodi Milli, President-Elect Eunice Wiebolt, Co-Secretaries Betty Arveson & Renea Bradley, Treasurer Sue Mullen, Director-at-Large Linda Buchholz, Director of Membership Arlene Brodeur, Director of TLC Marian Anderson, and Past President Vicki Reineck.
Current members reside in: Baxter, Blaine, Brainerd, Breezy Point, Crosslake, East Gull Lake, Eden Prairie, Emily, Hastings, Lake Shore, Merrifield, Minnetonka, Nisswa, Pequot Lakes, Pillager, Pine River, St. Cloud, Stanchfield, and Wadena, MN. Many of our members also reside in other states.
Established in 1920 as ''The Nisswa Sewing Club'' and also known as ''The Nisswa Busy Bees,'' the organization began with fourteen members. Sewing quilts and layettes and selling them to raise funds for the needy were the original activities for the club.
General meetings of the Nisswa Women's Club membership are held the third Thursday of each month at 12:00 noon at an area restaurant. Lunch is followed by an entertaining and informative program each month. The Board of Directors convenes on the Monday preceding each general meeting.
