About Us

Gull Lake Yacht Club is a family-oriented, volunteer-based social organization dedicated to promoting water safety, education and enjoyment of sailing, boating and other water-related activities in a socially-inclusive environment for generations to come.

''GLYC'' and ''GLSS'' (Gull Lake Sailing School) was founded in 1947 and continues to operate from the eastern shores of Gull Lake near Brainerd, Minnesota. From social mixers to planned parties and events, GLYC has grown to accommodate its members and the community with a facility that can be enjoyed by all. GLSS focuses on teaching kids to advance their knowledge in sailing techniques and expand their enjoyment of being on the water. Our instructor led courses focus on the variety of skills from kids of all ages.
